About Runbooks & Robots
Runbooks & Robots helps experienced DevOps engineers, platform engineers, SREs, engineering leaders, and technology teams become AI-native.
AI is changing both sides of modern operations:
how we build and run AI systems;
how we use AI to build and run everything else.
This newsletter focuses on two pillars.
DevOps for AI
How to build, deploy, and operate AI systems reliably.
We cover AI platform engineering, MLOps, LLMOps, Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, model serving, inference, observability, security, reliability, and cost management.
AI for DevOps
How to use AI assistants, coding agents, skills, tools, and agentic systems across infrastructure as code, CI/CD, Kubernetes, platform engineering, troubleshooting, observability, and incident response.
The central idea is simple:
AI does not replace your experience. It expands what you can do with it.
It can help you solve problems, automate work, and build systems that were previously too difficult, slow, expensive, or simply not possible.
But generic answers from ChatGPT or Claude are not always enough—especially when production architecture, reliability, security, cost, and operational trade-offs are involved.
Runbooks & Robots is where you come to find those answers.
About Me
I am Gourav Shah, a computer science engineer, corporate trainer, consultant, and founder of School of DevOps & AI and Initcron AI.
I have taught nearly 300,000 learners through online courses and delivered more than 500 corporate workshops.
My work focuses on DevOps, Kubernetes, platform engineering, AI infrastructure, and agentic systems.
Through this newsletter, I share practical explanations, technical deep dives, experiments, and balanced analysis to help experienced engineers become more capable with AI—without losing sight of the fundamentals that make production systems secure, reliable, and operable.
DevOps for AI. AI for DevOps.
